It took awhile to originally find a bottle of Rowan’s Creek due to rising popularity for the Bourbon. When I first tried the bottle I found it rather pedestrian, but most likely was trying it after some other whiskey so it wasn’t getting a fair shake. Over time it grew on me and while I wouldn’t call it my favorite Bourbon I wouldn’t turn down a glass which may explain why the empty bottle now resides in the recycle bin. It is a very easy drinking Bourbon which I preferred with a cube to temper the alcohol slightly. The flavors of brown sugar, caramel, and oak are well done, but I agree with some of the reviews indicating the Bourbon comes off as a bit young. At a $35 price point it’s certainly worth a try since it won’t break the bank so if you haven’t had it, snag a bottle and give it a whirl.
