A friend recommended Town Branch Bourbon to me sometime back and it took me awhile to purchase a bottle and give it a try. At first I wasn’t crazy about the 80 proof Bourbon, but over time it really grew on me and it wasn’t long until the bottle was drained. The bottle itself is a hefty handful and when full was a bit of a pain to fish out from the back row in the bar. What really matters is the Bourbon and it was actually quite nice with a fruity character coupled with brown sugar and a oak character. The cherry stone fruit and leather were subdued and quite tasty. I preferred it over ice, but I can see others liking it neat. With a $35-40 price point it is certainly worthy of your time. Give it a whirl!
